a big picture hangs over a stain
on the wall titled pain over partition
an unwashed dirty secret a dark
hole of madness an unsightly blemish
a bruise a scar a gash a trace back
a disrepute exposure of a house of
ill repute masking dysfunctional
disputes violent sadistic abuse
do not remove do not attempt to
lift it up it's alive it still
breathes biologically it's still
bleeding a mess wasn't worth
cleaning framed to hide shame
blending in to pretend to belong
alongside virtuous portrayals
bowls of ice cream and cake
layers of blood red frosting mixed
in melted wax coagulating
wiggling pools of black cherry gelatin
one holds a knife to cut a taste
shadows cannot hide the
shape of things light exposes
everything seen in the dark behind
the obscure pendulous veil
so aromatic can't hide the
