my pockets "Changed" all I have to do is look instead of counting "Change" to see all I got in my pocket is loose "Change" at the checkout stand holding out my hand can't move forward with out the "Change" so hand it over even if it's just dimes & pennies I ain't got no shame I need my change walking out I see a man standing out he looking for a handout I can't spare a thing I need my "Change" I ain't too far from where he stands sorry brother I used to give but now I'm trying to live on what I gave pockets ain't been the same I'll do anything "well" not quite still got dignity and pride still I could use a wad of cash what these yungins call a bag trying to keep my stomach off my back "chit" my wallet chilling in the back pocket flatter than a postage stamp on a letter I ain't mailed yet "wish I had a" causes too much regret so I won't desire it I feel like I been ripped off by a thief who took my employment and five year plan it's the sign of the times don't know if I'll be here in 2025 still I speak life over death anytime and my mind I was walking around picked a acorn up off the ground and got chased done by squirrels "if you wanted it you should've threw it down" I swear this world's gone nuts I  been feeling a bit down but still looking up can't suffer the little one's looking up to me I know it's hard times so I know I'm not the only one so I won't complain pass blame we can't help but feel the impact of this "Change" "wish I had bought that lot" "might have to sale my plot" deep in flames and it's just getting hot old folk used to say save up for rainy days them old timers didn't anticipate time loosening the bow if they did they would have told us to save up for a boat instead of fighting to go out and "Vote" for our political voices to be "Veto" the word is "Change" it's inner Changeable it's like we getting what we been asking for manipulatively collectively manifesting self fulfilled prophecies of poverty so see we living on pocket "Change" in hopes for more "Change" to come time to "Change" the dressing the wound is oozing bondage is old the bandage is dirty the infections sinking in if you get it it's like rigormortous it's setting in loosen up and let the "Change" begin
