you came into my life and put a spell on my mind when the spell took hold I could see the shine climbed a clock tower to watch the time the spells in the rhyme see the fire it's in the flame the struggle is real that's no longer my name those who attempted to destroy me should've taken better aim those who swung should've had a better swing a black dot in the middle of a circle covered by the ring surrounded by four corners inside of a square undergarment like underwear every since the day I was born something's been trying to destroy me it's a new year I'm still here I'm not crying these are happy tears I'm so grateful I got a lot to be thankful it ain't gone be easy I keep my elbows greasy to keep food on the table to feed me everyone I love they left me believe me it don't phase me alone is how I came into this world and alone is how I'm going to leave don't think I need you don't let those thoughts deceive you the love of my life is gone her name is written on a stone she threw me a bone something to gnaw on to sharpen my teeth and bring the beast out of me all I need is a shadow beside me to always remind me that those who are afraid of the dark can't put out the light those who are afraid of fire can't put out the flames those afraid of deep water can't dive in those who can't stand when wind blow can't weather a storm a change of mind works like a charm
