it is the morning after
the sunlight finding us purple
where hours before I was blue
and you were of a red hue
black on the left
white on the right
a beautiful shade of gray
when the morning came today
a wonderful box of crayons we became
because I loved you
and you loved me
we melted the whole box of crayons on the stove
which is the bed we lay in
