do we apologise if we do will we be forgiven if we're forgiven what that mean is the slate wipe clean if the slate wipe clean can we start again considering what happened are we expected to complete our sentence or can we go free are we expected to stay after school if we don't learn what the teacher teach do we repent for doing wrong on Monday after sitting in church all day on Sunday listening to the preacher preach if the arms extended it's a reach if it's broken it's been breached don't shake the globe don't make it snow like in Colorado pass the bottle I need a swallow to fill this hollow need to avoid can't feel the joy in this habitat is it me or is it mere happenstance we need a circumstance due to chance it's not comfortable to be culpable of wrongdoing when doing right goes wrong it's questionable but not answerable it's smoke and mirrors ever where over here over there I swear at times I'm lost and found wanting like a red handed bandit holding a smoking gun how we supposed to be on our best behavior at a time when our best ain't good enough and we get knocked down for standing up a dream killed a King and woke me up out of a sound sleep I been up every since to what's going on around me I was taught right from wrong but still I'm gone devotedly jump in feet first sing and dance up a storm when the music come on because that's what we do in our pursuit of good times even if it seems like time ain't good enough to do right
