so long as I could go to the mailbox and pull out a written letter so long as it was cold outside and all I needed was a sweater
so long as family meant something and always
stuck together so long as
time took forever and
always got better
so long as rain came down
and always let up
so long as a friend was a
friend and loyalty wasn't
corrupt so long as days were long and nights were
even longer the longer
