down the street looking
down I'm not feeling
down I'm looking for
the rise up from the
ground to keep from
falling on the hard
fact getting hurt
on impact in fact
eyes in back extra
pair in a backpack
clear view through
rearview I see you
calling me "I
don't hear you I be
going through
trying to figure out
"what I'm gone do"
in the next phase
in the next days
ain't been no sunshine
waiting on the next
ray breaking my back
out in the field can't
wait for the next pay
insurance to pay for
the x-ray to see the
cracks in vertebrae
don't see help on the
way still prefer to pray
arch the back and
mediate to abbreviate
and demonstrate
how to sit up straight
