you're still young
where I used to be
in different time in a
different place when
a child had a mind but
couldn't say without being
out of place and telling
the truth accused of being
a lie I can't think of how
many times I closed crying
eyes and wished for these
times to come " you got to
be careful of what you wish
for " even when the wish
is for better days to come
