Taking a break, after a long walk 

Reconstructing history in my mind… 
laid back, sitting down 
leaning with my back against a tree 

in moments of reflection 
lost as if a dream, 

floating in a small boat 
upon a quiet stream 

As my thoughts pool then drift, 
flowing on 

Memories exploring visions, 
things i’d hoped to see

Like sparks of moonlight 
on the waters calling 

in the night, 

carried by my hearts desire 

In the workshop of my fantasies 

growing, each momentary pause 
taken to reflect upon this course, 

This will 
of the selectively adaptable 
soul 

filled with wonder 
and a history of life 

searching for contributions, 
for solutions for all things of necessity/convenience 

Applied explorations of worlds 
We collectively call science… 

Yet, in the distance 
we remain whores for violence

(And for those so killed, a moment of silence)

Stepping away once more 
looking to the distant horizons  

Exploring beyond the rich architecture 
Of wondrous things 

created by those, who 
constructed the castles of kings

Learning, with cooperation 
we can prevail over evil

To find myself in quiet moments, like this… 

A vessel which to pour my spirit soul, 

Inclined to entertain 

A soliloquy to express myself to such depths 

What current thoughts will bear… 

The spirit sails, further still 
pouring back 

To the heart of the source… 
With each prayer for another 
to enter 

Back into the garden 
sharing in the light 

Of worlds brought together, 
understanding…

Merging into the universal stream 
on a rising tide of consciousness 

now, and ever being played 

Crossing starlit seas 

Seeking truth, 
discovery 

At our best, 
approaching greatness 

By the communion of our spirits…
