The blood that flow through my veins is as old as the veins of the tree, My roots run deep at the feet of the creek where I drink the water of wisdom to feed our children in the streets, Illusions I see as wide as the sea were none are free, Yet drawing in their sleep, falling in a hole of defeat, Yet, our heart beats weak as our soul link like morphine, turning us to dependent fiends of addiction, High risk convictions has turn is into victims of this system... Bullwhip and tree branches has turned to cage doors and concrete floors, All I see is walls of wars and Jim Crow laws, Religious scriptures engraved on prison bars like prison scars, And our children want to become prison stars... "How far must we fall down the rabbit hole of this mind control, Invisible lines unfold on the computer board, Now technology has become their new living God on the wooden pole that bury me in this concrete hole, Cold as my blood continue to flow, And my roots continue to grow, cracking this concrete floor like a black rose...
