when I caught wind of his senseless demise I swear I died with him then came back to life I would've cried my eyes out all night but my tears turned to anger inside I couldn't sleep I couldn't eat a bite I had no appetite I sat alone in the dark hoping to see a spark of light to gain back sight even sun rise felt like night time I caught a bad case of the blues the kind when you ain't got no green I'm hurt but I swear I can't cry cause every time I try my tears turn to anger inside
