seen you in the store looking like you on coke you broke the ice when you spoke told me you were thirsty I bought you a Coke look at you we used to be close like butter on toast now we like grape jelly on Doritos it don't go together like chili on Fritos you think I can save you don't you I'm no hero you know it's hard to hit a home run from where we come from half of the time I'm batting zero you told me you were hungry I bought you a microwavable burrito then left out the door munching on a bag of Cheetos feeling like the one that got away I did I ran away looked around and didn't plan to stay based on choices and decisions I made walking down the street sipping on a cold 23 oz can of Arizona lemonade coming from something that looked like nothing from the lion's den to the oven a better life ain't nothing special it's just a little more comfortable
