Verses Over Teardrops (12162025)I dam against the flood bottle the ocean waves of sorrow like a levee holding back the rolling tide of grief and loss stitching deep cuts mending ripped seams before I break apart burst the pressure valve blow a hole through a tender soul bore the pain to pour ashes onto streams deafen the screams bleed out darkness it think it can hide from the light foolishly confine the feelings that threaten to spill the pot of spoiled beans heartfelt pangs finds a quiet release a marvelous peace to rehearse the scene wept more than slept night offered no solace to the sudden sound of a leaky faucet spouting off in the background |

That's Right (12152025)I'm holding the laptop about to write then say to my self this not right grab a pen start to write say to my self nah not tonight unwrap a granola bar start to nibble mind on banana why are bananas so loud not the bright skin the scent seeping through the peel I'm scent sensitive bleach is kryptonite to me it kills me literally it sickens me it poisons me candles bother me too not the burning the carbon particles that spread when it goes out dust is the worst irritates ears and throat I got allergies you wouldn't believe it's a risk to breathe sinus problems up the wazoo what does one do when one sneeze and there's no one there to say "God bless you" it's not that important is it superstition is cultural roots different leaves falling from different branches on different trees what happens after a sneeze is that when a black cat run across your path who has time for irrational beliefs and practices based on fear and in case you're wondering yeah!
