Free choice free will,
Pills that are supposed to heal
Recalled because they kill
People say that they won’t
But turn around and they will
How can I label you an enemy?
When you did nothing personal to me
But that’s how things are supposed to be
My ancestors hung from a tree
Because that was the way things
Were supposed to be
I can only speak for me
In the lines of my poetry
As far as my eyes can see
War is starving us to death
If it does not cease
We won’t have anything left
By any means necessary
We fend for ourselves
Impoverished and in bad health
Birthrights stolen along with our wealth
Angry mothers beat us with belts
Because they didn’t know nothing else
Take a look the world done already shook
Children’s God is cell phones and Facebook
I don’t need a pull pit
To preach this
I don’t need a book
To teach this
I just open my eyes and see
