life will pull you off of a comfortable cushion put you in a folding chair make you sit there like you on the hot seat light a fire under you and make you move your a** ain't nothing wrong with standing the world can't stand to wait modern technology digitally moves fast who waits for a hot plate when you can get food fast the mystery is no one knows what goes on in the back of the house until you see someone TikTok over the food you eat it's okay it's just okay but are you satisfied with it being just okay life's not okay it's something wrong with it change makes it fickle it can't be consistent it hears what it wants to hear otherwise it don't listen it forsakes grannies wisdom for googles assistance airs dirty laundry on the world wide web and in the same breath tells you to mind your business okay will do but change the battery in that smoke detector and clean that dirty kitchen a nightmare will scare you out your sleep but a dream will wake you up in time enough to grasp and direct your attention to stuff that really matters in the wake of stuff that really don't patience is the key to what you really want keep it simple take it easy frolic in the moment

I see too much I see more than I want to see don't want to be blind but don't want to see the things and the pain it makes my eyes bleed I'm not crying I'm leaking like the crack across the ceiling that hung over me like a dark cloud first time I discovered it rains inside thought it was a dream I was having upon awakening in a puddle of reality couldn't see it mentally once had the mentality of ignoring the problem I'm having there's no reasoning with gravity

I don't have a problem with you being pleased to see me fail it didn't hurt me to hear you laugh when I fell I always knew you held the hammer to drive the final nail when you told me who you were I took you at face value I knew you would betray me borrow and not repay me you told me I think much do you know I have thoughts powerful enough to touch connotations that can F you up I try not to curse words when invoking verse I cause you so much anxiety you won't be able to find a pill strong enough to calm your nerves I decline the invite you're a parasitic type and it's in my genes to attack and destroy the host

you didn't see me come in I slid through the side door what you mean why didn't I knock you need to check that lock I slid through to check on you ain't seen you in awhile noticed you ain't been around you used to be the talk of the town word on the street you been missing in action I come to see what's been happening dap you up tell you we miss you around the way in a around about way thought you was gone don't want to see you gone it's too many of us gone left too many of us here to grieve for some of us the process ain't started yet too bereft to catch a breath I understand you need a break it's been a long time since the wake it's difficult to find refuge in sleep if you can't stay take all the time you need to figure things out I came in peace now it's time for me to slide out oh yeah that reminds me don't forget to lock that slide in door behind me
