there were nights I lost my way couldn't’ see beyond the pain
every dream felt out of reach like the stars were out of place
I was drowning in the doubt fighting battles with myself every mirror told me lies
saying I should be someone else
but deep inside a fire stayed alive a quiet voice that said survive
I used to think it was impossible
I used to think I’d never break these walls
no more, no more do I
think it’s impossible
now I see the light through all the dark every scar became a work of art
no more, no more
nothing here’s impossible
every fall taught me to rise
every tear became my guide
what once felt like the bitter end was just the start of my life again
and if the road gets hard again I’ll remember where
I left my pen
I made it through the fear before I’m not afraid anymore
used to think it was impossible now I’m standing where I thought I’d fall

Nothing Sinks All At OnceI kept tightning screws on a ship already sinking kept bailing water back into the deep every day sumthin new gave way a railing a promise a person I watched us come apart enough to memorize it thats the cruel part nothing sinks all at once it happens inch by inch wave by wave quiet like the age of rust and I kept pretending my hands were stronger than the ocean kept holdin broken things long enough to crack into pieces in end the wake of the storm left two people standing in the wreckage surprised the sea came in |
