On the phone for hours was how it started
Leaving the next day was when we parted
Being out together was a time so great
As we went out to eat on our first date

There were a few first times that were never done
Something only we did with no other one
Inside his world I found comfort and rest
As I laid down in peace with my head on his chest

No television, no phone, not distracted by another
For the only thing we cared was to look at was each other
To share with him a world unknown
Was not done through insertion, yet the outer was shown

Secretly spoken were our voices in bed
As we both listened carefully to what was being said
I prayed with him a detailed prayer of what I usually do
He held my hand listening patiently
Wondering if I would ever be through

Our ears listened quietly to the sound of the train
As thoughts of his love traveled through my brain
Within a minute of silence we were both asleep
For the moments we shared were ours to keep

A few hours later we both awoke
In the darkness with the glow in our eyes
we used them as our light
We gazed and watched the sun arise
For now it was no longer night

As he opened the door, life was existing
Back to reality was what I thought
For the flowers that were blooming
And the life existing were blossoming in my heart
