I’d rather have Wieners

Wieners are what I call male friends. We party, we hang out, we laugh and have fun. They keep me energetic and spunky. They motivate me to be me.
Wieners at times are flirty, easy going, joyful, funny, and free spirited. We always have us such a good time.
As for me, I am very selective. I am wanted by many, so I observe all, and when I choose, I choose only the finest. I’d rather have wieners, because I have learned when I want a steak instead, it ends up being a process. I experience a transformation process which goes from happiness to hurt.

Here’s how it starts. Over 40, the “quality” of steaks is so limited, well, at least to my liking. It’s rare to find a quality, premium, USDA prime tomahawk steak at its finest.

Well, one particular night the opportunity was given to me by one of my wieners and I was invited to dinner. The reservations were made and finalized. Upon entering the restaurant (his house), the manager greeted me with a smile. The appearance, the scenery and calmness was like nothing I’ve ever experienced.

The manager provided great customer service, and as we engaged in heavy conversation, my mind began to wonder.
The thought of him in me seemed to add spice to my order. I was hungry, so everything on the menu interested me. It was full of great possibilities.

After a few visits to the restaurant, I finally chose to try the steak. I ordered it rare and I got it rare. It was so good, it led me to order the same thing every time I went. And every time my steak was well seasoned and served to perfection.

I looked forward to visiting this restaurant. It was becoming my favorite spot. Although I never got a chance to taste the wine, just to know I could have a rare, well seasoned steak satisfied the inside of my soul.

But soon I began to realize I was missing my wiener. I realized, as soon I tried the steak, everything changed. What happened to the laughter and fun we shared?

I was hurt and deeply saddened when the manager couldn’t handle including both, a steak and a wiener on the menu. Why do I have to lose one when I choose one? Why can’t I have both?

Anyway, I also noticed how the manager wasn’t operating his restaurant with quality service like before and I was becoming less interested in visiting the restaurant. Everyone knows, poor customer service causes lack of customers.

Well, I eventually stopped going and the manager was forced to shut down for repairs. Phase 1 of the restaurant is being renovated and is currently under construction, which leaves me hungry with no place to eat.
And the process starts over…

(How is it that we were good as wieners, but once we became intimate, all the fun from our friendship changed and stopped?
Why some men can’t handle being a lover and a friend? Me, I wanted both, the good sex and the fun, laughter and hanging out. But, since they can’t handle it, now instead of steaks, I’d rather have wieners.)
