Bury The Dead

I mean to bury the dead

While we mourn in outrage, I mean to bury the dead

They say "No justice, no peace"

And for some reason I am thinking "No progress, no sleep"

My character is flawed

If I am unable to carry the words to defend my brother

Just as a cracked pot is ineffective to boil water

-- my character killed my brother

My struggle against the right path destroyed my mother

Our community accepted it so place that checkmark where its due.

So defend your character so that we may defend our brothers
