I stand and wait for what?

Waiting for what?

Tired of waiting, for what?

Sick of waiting, for what?

Lady in the checkout line pulls out a checkbook

For what?

Impatient frustration sets in

Who writes checks these days anyway?

guess what, It bounced

Next lady in line pulls out coupons

For what?

Squeezing the loaf of bread tucked under my arm

Waving a raggedy 10 dollar bill

“Do I really need this bread?”

“Well there was this sandwich on my mind”

“What was that?

DID THE CASHIER JUST CALL FOR A PRICE CHECK?

Back at home eating left over spaghetti
