I miss the sound of the paper racing across the road

How the transformers use to explode

I miss my hood lord knows

My friends we use to get high

Cool with all the fellas so we didn’t have to buy

Too much fun on the block no need to ride

Walking til the sun come up not wasting time

Boys holla at me left at right

But I had my own little cutie he was my midnight

Waiting for the bus it was like a 150 of us

Dang we was deep

Want nobody messing with our team

I remember breaking this girl noise she was 6’3 but she want messing with lil ol me

They called me lil dro realest on the street

Doing girls hair that needed a major make over for free

Sneaking out the back door so mommy want smoke all my weed

Girls having babys they cant feed

Boys chasing the girls with the disease

Mommy trying get a quarter so she can go up the street

She get crumbs for 3 dollars

And if they yell what up she hollas

But I aint knock my mommy

While im chasing after that one thing

Happiness for that woman

People said I was evil so what and

I took care of my family they couldn’t do that much

And because I was from the hood I was a thug

Scared to be around me like I had war

Memories how I miss my hood why they had to tear it down

Now on this northside like

Man F*** this s*** wack now
