With days gone by, I surely miss
The warmth of mother's arms,
The way she'd  always comfort me
With all her loving charms.
I thin of all the time we spent
In close companionship,
In her, I always could confide
And count on sealed lip.
She taught me about the birds and the bees
Put love in every word.
Explaining nature's way of life
As my emotions stirred.
She always knew just what to say
To easy my aching heart,
No matter what the problem was
My fears would soon depart.
She gave me faith and confidence
When I became a wife,
And told me little secrets
That would guide me all my life.
