The fire within the flame
Defiantly burns on and on
Through many trials and tribulations
Until all its fuel is gone.
Against the odds it is
Tested day after day
Challenged ruthlessly by nay-sayers
It burns on anyway.
Flickers of orange and red appear
Whenever negative fumes linger by
Popping and crackling its embers
Take flight towards the midnight sky.
Soon a sign of contentment
The brightest yellows and neon blue
A representation of eternal love
For followers of me and you.
From the very corners of our hearts
To the inner cores of our souls
The fire within the flame
Remains constant and forever bold.
