curiosity swells and mischief tempts
bulbous eyes that dare a glance
enthralled to fell upon a prize by chance
to rain the night sky
in an explosive dance
alongside the beat of ooohs and ahhhs
that rings all through the night
fireworks explodes to pubescent delight
while mom and dad
fancy a tryst.
