We brace ourselves for impact demonstrating the will to conquer all
Together we stand
Back to back
Our weapons ready preparing to attack
Tears of victory and laughter escape us
We rejoice, have we won the fight
Is the war over?
Battle won but the heart stills wonders
Fear rose from the depths of misunderstanding
Struggle continues
Our hearts twist and bends, stretching out to one another
Constant quarrels and outburst fill of frustration and annoyance
Submit to each other wrath, you think not
Nothing gained
The sorrowful tears of acceptance of self and mistake consoles you
For rejection shatters hearts
Distance is apparent, needed without a doubt
Emotions whirls within you like thousands of bees
Suffocating your heart
Your soul arches
Pains no strangers only unwelcome company
Understanding has missed it cued
Abandoning your logic, casting it away
Time slips through the space between your fingers
Dwelling in your darken despair
Stone walls of safety protecting your hearts
Archers in your tower aimed to attack your opponent
Oblivious as the frustrated interacts calmly
Defenses rise the war begins
A long drawn out battle continues
Rash and vicious words fly through the air
Leaving both parties hurt and ready to retreat
What is gained?
Both simmer down, hot headed as can be
Cools down to chilling of the bones
Ice forms on their shoulders and hearts
Time vanishes, disappeared with notice
Long for embrace neither admits the truth
Guilty expressions and creeping smiles grace both faces
Stares once filled with anger replace with sadness
Forgiveness is the only sign of hope
Shyly approaching this realization it only is a means to salvation
Two souls reunited, once were separated but again whole
Time moves on
