I am traumatized by the things
that I am touched by
every time I open my eyes
I see pain in someone’s life
pain that I wish I could take away
when I run across those who are in need
I try to find something out of my own
pain and need something inside of me
to give away as long as I live I
will always have something to give
of myself and of my time
we live in a crying world that's
dying in need and service should
be our contribution if we apply
enough pressure we can stop
the bleeding if we pray together
we can change the outcome
of the weather the key word
is together we came into the world
attached by the heart
somewhere along the line
we were torn apart
though we band together
we remain worlds apart
a movement cannot go from one
place to another without support
it would be difficult to try to feed
a hungry nation without transportation
The Tower of Babel was a successful operation
God raised an eyebrow and was frustrated
we are visual beings transmitting information
the blueprint has been laid out
we were never meant to build alone
we were never meant to live alone
we were never meant to have no home
we were not meant to stand alone
we all need a helper to
help us along our chosen paths
we were meant to fight but still
get along what we are trying to
accomplish we cannot do
without someone in the stands
cheering us on those who
love will never be alone
those who help others to carry
heavy loads will always remain strong
and those who cry for their
brothers and sisters will never cry alone
every day of our lives is a time to rise
