Hey there my friend, how are you today?
So much time has gone by, wouldn't you say?
I know life hasn't been easy with all that's going on
But rest assured my dear, every day has a new dawn.
Regardless of who we are or how we feel
There's always someone to help us heal.
Even when all seems lost and no more is to be
There's a glimmer of hope that sets us free.
When a single thought brings back the memories
It allows us to stand stronger and face our enemies.
With a Gibraltered soul we meet each day
Even though some pieces may crumble away.
We pick up where we left off, we soldier on
Until our crowns with halos are adorned.
You see, we share a bond that can not be broken
Even through time when words go unspoken.
It's called a friendship, the basis of life's foundation
Serving as the ground floor, setting forth life's dictation.
Strong and solid it holds all that's placed upon it
With a base so deep the devil himself can't reach beyond it.
So my friend whenever things seem unsure
There's a reason your path was laid by my door
Should you ever need your hope restored
Remember these words from my heart to yours.
There's nothing in this world that we can't handle
So sit back, relax and kick off your sandals.
Let whatever comes our way do so as it is to be
Because our friendship is here for all eternity.
