As you stand here
In this room
Where no one else can see
Take a moment
To reflect
On how your life should be.
Take a good, long look
In the mirror beside you
Look deep inside your reflection
Enter your mind and soul
Through your eyes to see
If there's any detection
Of who you really are
Or maybe perhaps
Who'd you like to be.
Think about it for a moment
Before you say to yourself
"Yes, I am happy with me."
If you can see it
When you smile
Or feel it when you laugh
Surely you know by now
What you've set out to achieve
Has finally come to pass.
However, should you need
Some reassurance, take a
Moment to kneel and pray
Ask the Lord to come
Into your heart
And help you find your way.
Now just before you go
Remember to thank Him
And don't forget to say Amen
Because you never know
When you'll need another moment
Behind closed doors again.
