In reflection self-expression is found unbound.
Daily stresses unwound drape to the ground around ankles like loosed tethers.
Carried on updrafts like feathers, my worries float then vanish like dissipating smoke in the wind.
The process begins with the stroke of my pen, only to end once I feel I am finally breathing again.

hymnagen says: JustOneStoryTeller I get that a lil ambiguity in a poem is cool 'cause it allows each reader to decide what it means to them, personally. But I thinks some poets write with the intent of having you read it over and over just trying to decipher it. I ain;t got time for that. I like to read work that is accessible so I try to write in a way that is accessible. thanks for your encouraging comments. I am grateful to you for them. |
