outback by the railroad tracks
under a pile of stone
is where I hid my mothers favorite song
she just wouldn't leave it alone
kept on playing it
all night long
over and over again
the cause and effect
of having too many worthless men
met them on the front porch
turned around and let 'em in
just to get walked on
heart broken again
I often wondered if she would
ever learn, I mean
she's the one who taught me

never meant to disrespect her
