we try to hide behind solutions
to problems easily avoided
easy to be escaped and evaded
when the light shines
on the deeds committed
under the cloak of night
we try hard to flea or fight
but hidden secrets we still keep
deluding ourselves that it right to do so
what happens in the dark shall the light reveal
the darkness will cower
from the lights’ might
revealing the treasures it holds
the secrets and the lies
let us hope nobody dies
for guilt is a strong emotion
and the truth shall come out
