why do I need to understand
that which needs no understanding
something that never asked to be
understood something that never
asked me to lower my standards
why should I grasp onto what
you're holding if I say "I Understand"
then what's standing over me
since I have stepped down a degree
to agree I hear what you're saying
still I perceive or should I say believe
you to be talking down to me by
asking "Do You Understand"
your accent is not foreign have I
asked you to repeat what you are
saying? therefor it is clear to me
so clear it needs no understanding
