Who's pulling your chain only to lock you up again?
Who's making rain fall from your cloud overly proud?
Who's riding your horse across plains taking your pains
eating up bowls of your losses, throwing away your gains?
Sitting amongst fools, ceases your building up, using all your tools
Who's capturing your negatives replacing all with positives?
Who has led you to the truth left out from your youth?
Who's giving you dirty looks, 'cause your face wasn't in books?
Who's accepting your shame and guilt, gathering all to the hilt?
Who's socializing without even realizing the true surprise
is remaining teachable as Christ Jesus' eternal life is the prize?
Who's quacking your duck and loading your truck, not at all
giving a yuck as you asked for help and they leave you stuck?
Who's captured your midnights and turned on your lights, the
lights of mind, body, and soul, showing they can be contrite?
Who's getting a portion of your helplessnes, praying you'll be
blessed again as God himself thru Christ presents more tests?
Who are you gaming on, shaming on, naming their pitfalls on,
while showing your great pride only to stand on their throne?
Who's setting sail, including me, upon misery, so very gently
or measuring the unmeasurable reality we all are lifes beauty?
The sum may keep us all dumb, then adverse reactions become
apparent, providing a sour and numb existence of frustrations
about where we truly come from. Love, love, more love is the sum!
Who's pulling your chain that locks you away, that locks you up again?
Who's holding open the door of sinful natures that we'd once left behind?
