A Soul worthy
Of a Heavenly home
Now sits with God
Aside His throne.
No more pain
Will there ever be
Only joy and peace
For all eternity.
Led by still waters
His calming began
God cleansed his soul
And took his hand.
All has been forgiven
Nothing more need be said
Our beloved now adorns
A halo upon his head.
A walk with the angels
Through the garden of Eden
He’s welcomed with opened arms
By others preceded.
Now resting in the arms
Of God comfortably
With streaming tears
Our hearts rejoice triumphantly.
To be absent from the body
Is to be present with the Lord
Our beloved Pete has attained
The ultimate reward.
Residing now in
His Heavenly home
Seated by God
Aside His throne.
