reveal ...the cruelty
behind the smile, stories
you may not bother to refute,
to reconcile, by other means
achieved, perhaps by trickery,
planting seeds of doubt...
misdirection, perhaps
feeding the illusion
of nobility,
as if,
its cost... erased,
in the profusion
of lives lost
in the war crazed... tap dance of confusion
while those whose lives
fulfilling just a little everyday
more than ...just enough to get by,
in times of plenty to bear fruit...
even though they may sometimes
reveal more, an ugly truth...
about this aperture in time
the lens through which
we express our version
of the love
...of this, reality/vitality/morality
as we extend/explore/defend...
which ends which suit our purposes
we observe/preserve/chosen to serve
in=with reliance/compliance/defiance
in such manner we may approve,
in reflecting those versions
of our evolving truth sets
