Where Did All The Black Men Go?

Where did all the Black men go?
Did they go to a show? Maybe out on parole?
Probably on a midnight stroll, while on deathrole?
I guess it's safe to say, that we lost our soul

Soul power came and went, through a balled-up fist
From a breakthrough to a breakdown, our race has gone amissed
From a brutha to a , it has became the norm
A mixed-up image has taken us off course by storm

From crappy entertainers, to sleezy athletes
who blindly walk into a scandal, which leaves them destitute on the streets
Next comes the half-hearted, and selfish politician
They say, "I wanna help!", contradiction Black abolition

The million man March, what did that prove?
That we're a funky nation under a groove?
Let me tell ya'll something, it didn't do squat!
That's why for every 45 seconds or less, a black man gets shot!

Does Black Lives today truly Matter?
When we can't even unite, but instead we scatter
"Feet don't fail me now!" We yell, like we done lost our damn mind
Leaving nothing but debt and death, as well as troubles behind

So I ask again, Where did all the black men go?
Are they hiding out? Or is their brain on escrow?
Selling out to the white man for a itty, bitty fee
Then think the world owes them, trying to get any/everything for free

Check this out. Let me give it to you straight
There's no way to debate. All we ever do is hate
Mostly on each other, while other races stand aside and laugh
Massa', can i get your autograph?

Is their a way out? Maybe a ray of hope?
That we can stop choking on that invisible lynch rope?
That remains to be seen, as we all well know
Goddamn it Y'all!!! Where did all the black men go?

Love the powerful rhythmic flow of this "pounding" pen, jojo. You have laid it out plain and clear how so many black men have gone on to become victims of what I call the Oppressor Syndrome. Thanks for sharing this thought-provoking write, jojo. Peace and Love.
