Gary went to the store to get a 5 lb sack of potatoes and two boxes of Hamburger Helper while fiening for dope he couldn't cope without a fix Gary rushed back to the house gave his mother the bag handed her the change then rushed out the door to hustle up enough to tend to his dying need Gary had enough his mother told him it was enough he knew it was enough but Gary was wise enough to know not to break the trust to get the drugs and shadder the foundation underneath him Gary was addicted to heroin but he was no heathen
it's a powerful scene from
The Corner most of us seen
years ago that part deeply touched my heart in many ways memories of those days like grace and mercy love and respect for one another followed us
through out the struggle of existence
