When I Go To Church
When I arise in the morning with my mind on going to church; this is my call to worship and I don't need to search
I need to prepare my mind for fellowship through prayer and meditation; to begin each day seeking my devotional consecration
When I'm preparing for church my heart and mind are key; this is how God unlocks my soul so his spirit can speak to me
When I'm on my way to church whether walking or riding; those who I encounter should see the love of God abiding
When I go to church I want to experience Christian fellowship; minding my manners at all times never letting them slip
When I'm in the choir stand singing in the choir; my behavior which precedes my singing should expose my internal burning fire
When I'm in the pulpit preparing to preach God's word; I should stand in a posture which will allow for him to be heard
When I'm in the sanctuary giving him worship and praise; this should be common place when my hands and voice I raise
When I'm standing my post as a doorkeeper in the house of the lord; my humble service should always be my reward
When I'm in the sanctuary whatever the service I give; everything about me should represent how I live
If I always let my light shine for a home the lost won't need to search; they will see the Christ in me and follow me to church
When I go to church I want the visitors to end their roam; as I let the spirit of lord in me make them feel at home
I'm the temple of the Holy Ghost, this is my identity; I never have to go to church because the church lives in me
I won't forsake the assembly for fellowship and communion; so as a body of born again believers let’s keep having these family reunions
When I go to church I should always be able to see; that no matter where I am in my mind church is where I should be
