At work, sometimes I go to my car to cry,
Not from sadness but from anger, why?
Frustration, discrimination, comments, jokes, and utter disregard,
When you are the only black person at work, you cannot "play the race card",
When a black athlete wins a championship, "everyone" will celebrate,
But when a black man kills a white cop, the media motivates America to segregate,
As long as we're sweating, singing, dancing, running, bouncing, & catching,
Things are fine,
But when things turn south and a few ni@@as act out & commit crime,
White America loses it collective mind,
They buy guns and alarms, clutch purses and lock their home and car doors tight...

Defense is the best offense, I'm more concerned about my family's safety than black plight!
Blacks have it better than ever, besides the president is no longer white!
African Americans are in movies, on stage, in plays, they must be doing alright, right?
Whenever I travel at the airport and in hotels what do I see?
Black and brown people everywhere... working...to.. serve.. me...
While I'm on vacation... oh wait I see...
I'm privileged and you're not - silly me!
