Today’s sunrise hid behind the clouds
And it’s been raining since dawn,
Condensation covered windows
Created faded opaque sceneries
As the rain pounded against the
Deck like an M60 machine gun.
Couldn’t really go anywhere
Nor did I want to with all the rain,
This is definitely a time to chill
So we decided to watch some Netflix.
Some suspense, a not so horror flick
But still good one and an
All star cast comedy.
And just as the movies we watched
Were over, the sun emerged
From the clouds like it was
A brand new day.
Although everything was drenched
Mother Nature’s aromatic scent
Couldn’t be matched.
As the sun kissed my face
It was like summer had come back
For another dance with autumn.
So I venture out for a couple of hours
Grabbed a few items for a
Quick and simple Sunday dinner,
Rib eye vegetable stew and my
Signature apple cinnamon cornbread.
Then back home as the sun
Slowly descends on the horizon
With the warm air in tow.
Looking forward to tomorrow,
Today was an incredibly beautiful day.
