I heard a bird crying in a tree
I climbed trying to find the
featured creature to tell it
everything is going to be alright
It kept on crying all through the night
the saddest thing I ever heard
was that little bird perched in a tree
knowing what was coming
I had no clue nor could I
decode its tears to know what to do
so I started to cry too
along with the little bird
who perched and cried
Instead of flew
