Drinking from a dirty water glass
In the best diner in town
The waitress comes around
To check on me am I alright
Do I need any thing?
I just want to jump up screaming
Yes I do I need everything
That life has to offer and more
Scribbling on a napkin beside me
Trying to capture feelings inside me
In a den of conversations that surrounds me
I am not insane, I am though
But no one has to know
I could complain about the stained glass
Get loud belligerent and make a scene
No thanks I’m fine
I don’t need anything but a paper cup
