The mom is 91 still going strong. For about the last 25 years I write her a Birthday and Mothers day poem, I just found out about 10 years ago she has them all in a photo album(talk about love)

hope these Mothers day poems
never end
Sometimes you may think the
children have forgotten the love
we received from you
but nothin could be so far
from being true
Back in the day a strong Dad
and lovin mom all we had
We were not rich with money
but rich with love
I especially remember the holidays
such as Christmas Thanksgiving
one big family(7 kids) living together
surviving no matter what the weather
and who could forget those yearly
summer August trips back to South Carolina
none of the other kids on the block
never did that
We were blessed with a Mom
and Dad who cared
A salute to you on this Mothers
day what can I say
except all the children
feel this way
