I wonder if my life is just entertainment to God
And when it’s over will he stand up and applaud?
If it was a movie would it leave the critics in awe?
Would it leave the audience dropping their jaws?
If it was a movie it’d be composed of all genres
From action, crime, suspense, horror, and drama
Complete with addictions, shootouts and chases
Pain, spiritual rebirth and fighting criminal cases
Travels around the world to faraway places
It’d have personal loss and some personal gain
Darkness and light, DMT, weed and cocaine
It’d have tragedy, divine intervention and more
Death, redemption and yes, even some whores
God, the devil, spirits and some African deities
Miracles, cures, revelations, otherworldly divinity
A strong lead actor and stronger supporting cast
The story of a normal child turned quick to outcast
That struggled through life facing demons of past
It’d be a story of struggle in all sense of the word
Moments of clarity, comedy, and moments absurd
Gaining it all, to lose it all and starting all over
Overcoming the odds, and earning some closure
If my life was a movie, viewers wouldn’t believe it
If God was my critic I wonder how he’d receive it?
