What do i mean by this statement
When refusing to work on self abatement
To instead aim high, saying to myself the sky's NOT the limit
Leaving behind my testimony for all to read and skim it
Instead of a "attaboy", what i get is "how dare you!"
Getting mad dog looks that seem to go right through
my heart, penetrating the depths of my soul
Got a brother wondering, "where should i go?"
Hell i don't know about you, but i prefer to keep steppin
into the sunset with faith as my weapon
Knowing that God's if for me, so why should i care
If all is against me, Let those haters and instigators stare
In conclusion, success is only skin deep
I intend to stay focused until i sleep
As my Lord and my God takes my soul from this Earthly crop
