Who Is She?A cynical breath of laughter escaped her lips is she examined her self in the mirror. Seeing everything no one else saw, Who is she? Instead of the twinkle everyone else saw, she saw weariness behind her eyes that cried rivers from joy but more often pain. Instead of a captivating smile she saw regret on lips from words unspoken but more often spoken to the wrong person. Instead of a kind & gentle heart she saw a jaded heart from a scorned past, from heartache to heartbreak but she still tried to mend the pieces. She saw tired hands at the ends of sore arm, aching feet at the end of weakening legs. Who is she? Only exposing this side of her to the mirror, she picks her head up, crowning her self in confidence. She wipes away her weariness, covers her regrets, hides her pain. She nurtures herself back into her strength. She scolds the mirror for not letting her see herself. She is self-beheld beauty. She is strength in its purest form. She is obstacles overcome & road...  |
Toxic LoverCold sweats & shivers take over my body I feel a warm stream of tears on my cheek as scream in pain to drain you out of my system. All it took was one hit One hit of you I took you in, in one puff and exhaled in ecstasy with a tingle in every nerve, floating on cumulonibus as the rain sounds soothed me into my pipedream of you & I becoming a we & you wanting only me. I breathed in your scent to heighten the sensation. The warmth of your touch brought me back to sanity. I was hooked after a look, stuck one touch, fiending to find meaning in a craving that left me screaming. It was poison & I loved it & I loved you more for supplying me, living a lie with me, going on a pipedream high with me But when it wore off it hurt. Sending sharp pains through me as I try to break from my addiction of you.
