How can you shine so bright
In a room of darkness
But treat yourself as a
Moving target
This time your ego
Won't save
What you lost
When you misbehaved
Ever imagine
Changing the pace
Using the eagerness of
Your gain
To represent your faith
Rather than placing blame
It's your fault for all the shame
and the reason your son
Feels betrayed
But you leave us to
Pick up the pieces
From the tender heart
You mistreated
I'm at a loss of words
Because the wounds are wide open
You left your dignity
Soaked in-
The blood you shed
Now it's everything
Not just the concrete that's
Stained in red
We're all fed up
With the lies
Of what could have been
I used to trust you
But that was then
The flesh that connects us
Is spoiled
It's my fault for believing
You could be loyal

after vision says:

my poet, you hold the baton that so many men pass on. you are right to throw it away and not hold on to the pain that comes with it
