today I had a gray day
nothing went my way
first I prayed about it
sat and thought about it
then I wrote about it
I had to tell somebody
still who would listen
this world just keeps on pushin
in some way all are wounded
hollow stones breaks no bones
empty shells have no pearls
there's no end to this poem
but still I'll leave it alone
