Hey there my fellow poets! Blessings and greetings to you all for a prosperous new year. Life has been pretty rough for me since I last posted but nonetheless, as always with God's mercy and grace I've persevered. I'm finally at a point where I can start posting again. I so miss being on here and reading everyone's works. I hope that everything is going well for everyone. Let's keep the inklove flowing!

I would dream of
My deepest thoughts
Of all my want-to-do's
And my oughts
If only I could dream.

If only I could dream
I'd take myself to a place
So far beyond away
Hurt and sorrow wouldn't see me
But happiness would be there to stay
If only I could dream.

If only I could dream
I would ask God to forgive me
For all the wrong I've done
To make me whole once again
To have peace where there’s been none
If only I could dream.

If only I could dream
I would go back in time
To right all I did wrong
And maybe perhaps
Rewrite the words to this song.
If only I could dream.

This piece came about at a time when I din't/couldn't dream for weeks at a time. Never understood why but I figured it was because I had so much turmoil going on in my life that God had taken my dreams from me in order for me to see what I was doing and to put me back on my path. Trust and believe, He got my attention and I've been having dreams ever since. Thank you for your continued support and for reading my work. Namaste.
