Laughing and carrying on
Like good friends do.
Subtlely I felt your vibes as
Subliminal messages travel,
Coursing through my veins.
Publicly speechless yet
Internally screaming from
The highest mountain tops.
Taking a bite of lunch
Whenever I felt the mercury rising.
No nervousness just maintaining
My public composure as you
Devilishly challenge me with a dare.
Once our outing concluded,
We arrive back at my place.
You sit on the chaise and
Within the shadowed reflection
Of my widescreen I silently and
Smilingly admire your face.
A tad curious of your quietness,
I see you staring off into the air.
As I can’t help but wonder
About your thoughts and feelings
In that moment.
I lean you closer into my embrace
As I rest my head upon your shoulder.
Silently we sit and share
Each other’s presence.
